Magical Introduction

Magical introduction is an obligatory class for first- to third-year muggleborns and halfbloods who are not very well-acquainted with the magical world. The subject is mostly theoretical, and its classroom would look like nothing out of the ordinary if there weren't moving pictures and paintings, and magical objects all over the room.

Muggle Studies

Students who grew up in the magical world have no use for Magical Introduction, but could benefit from an immersion into Muggle society. The classroom is filled with still images of Muggle buildings and important historical figures, and a wide variety of objects are kept in a row of cabinets by the windows.

History

The History room contains several rows of seats facing a big blackboard. There are maps and paintings on the wall depicting important historical events.

Magical Theory

Magical Theory teaches students all that is known about the existence of magic and how it works. The classroom is fairly plain compared to most others on this floor, with a noticeable lack of posters and paintings on the walls.

Magical Research & Invention

Fourth- to sixth-year students are expected to have gained the required knowledge to try their hand at the creation of new spells and magical objects. The classroom contains many large workbenches and all sorts of tools and materials. There is also a bookcase containing a small collection of relevant books.
